Greetings in the name of the God whose boundless love and grace have been showered upon us in the person of Jesus Christ.

We are a congregation of the United Church of Christ, a mainline Protestant denomination, which celebrates the importance of both our individual relationship with God and our covenantal relationships within the local church, in wider denominational settings, and in the ecumenical community.

We are in covenant with other UCC churches in the York Association and the Penn Central Conference. We are a member of the York County Council of Churches. And we actively share worship and mission with other churches in the area through the Dover Area Ministerium.

We affirm the blessings of faith for the individual believer and the responsibility of all believers to promote God's desire for justice and peace. Therefore, even as we rejoice in the abundance of blessings we receive from our generous God, we also seek to be a generous people and to be a blessing to others.

We believe that the truly good life can be known when our lives are immersed in and shaped by the Spirit of Christ, and we seek to know that good life in this time and beyond time.

We are a congregation which takes seriously the "freedom of conscience of the individual believer" lived out in the context of the covenant community. We seek to grow in our faith and understanding by sharing our convictions with one another through a healthy and constructive dialogue.

It is a difficult challenge to affirm and celebrate our unity in Christ Jesus when we disagree with one another about matters which are of deep importance to us. But, when we are able to do so, we all benefit and we continue to grow in our faithfulness to God and in our commitment to one another.

Although we are not an officially declared "Open and Affirming" congregation, we do openly and warmly invite into our midst any person who genuinely seeks to grow in their faith in Jesus Christ. We seek to affirm in one another the faith we all hold in common rather than to divide ourselves from one another because of our differences.

We invite you to consider joining us for worship, study, mission, and good fellowship in the Spirit of Christ.
